How It Works
A simple marketplace connecting event hosts with venues through competitive bidding
For Event Hosts
Post Your Event
Fill out a simple form describing your event — guest count, date, event type, and your budget. Choose which neighborhoods to target, or leave it open to reach every venue in the network. Set how long you want to accept bids, then post it live.
Review Offers
Venues submit competitive offers that include their proposed room, menu package, deposit amount, and any other details. You can view the venue's full profile and message them directly through the platform before deciding.
Book & Enjoy
Accept the offer that fits best and you're booked. You'll get the venue's payment instructions and pay them directly — BAP doesn't charge a fee. Leave a review once it's done.

For Venues
Create Your Profile
Set up your venue profile with photos, room details, and menu packages. Add your payment instructions so hosts know how to pay you.
Browse & Bid
Browse open event listings and submit offers for the ones that are a good fit. You can see the host's budget, event type, date preferences, and guest count before you bid. Each listing has a bidding window — submit before it closes.
Get Booked
When a host accepts your offer, you're booked. The host gets your payment instructions and pays you directly — just like a booking made over the phone.

Common Questions
How does payment work?▼
When a host accepts a venue's offer, the event is booked and the host is shown the venue's payment instructions on their dashboard and by email. The host pays the venue directly — the deposit, balance, and accepted payment methods are set by the venue. BAP never holds your funds or processes payments.
How much does it cost?▼
BAP is free for hosts and venues. We don't charge a platform fee — you pay the venue only for your event.
How do I find venues?▼
You don't browse venues — venues come to you. Once you post your event, venues in the network review your listing and submit offers. When you receive an offer, you can view that venue's full profile, room details, and menu packages before deciding.
What is the bidding window?▼
When creating your event, you choose how long your listing stays open for bids. Once that window closes, no new offers can be submitted. You can then review all the offers you received and accept the one that works best for you.
Can I communicate with a venue before booking?▼
Yes. Once a venue submits an offer, you can message them directly through the BAP platform. Until you're booked, communication must stay within the platform — sharing external contact information or arranging bookings outside of BAP is a violation of our Terms of Service. Once you're booked, you can share contact and payment details freely.
What happens after the event?▼
Both the host and venue are invited to leave a review of one another. Reviews help build trust across the platform for future bookings.
What if I need to cancel?▼
Contact the venue directly. Since you pay the venue yourself, changes, cancellations, and refunds are handled between you and the venue under their policies and any contract you signed. For issues with the platform itself, email support@bapapp.org.
How do venues join BAP?▼
Venues set up a profile with their address, rooms, menus, and payment instructions before they can submit any offers. You can review a venue's full profile and reviews before accepting their offer.
Is there anything I'm not allowed to do on the platform?▼
The most important rule is that all bookings must be completed through BAP. Attempting to take a booking off-platform — or sharing contact information to do so — results in immediate and permanent account suspension. Until a booking is confirmed, the platform messaging system automatically prevents the sharing of phone numbers, email addresses, and external links.
